It does help I have no plan, no pressure in how the story should reach its end.
All I know is this:
- there's someone with a gunblade (yeah, FFVIII/FFXIV)
- there's someone who "turns invisible"
- there's someone who dies
- and there's someone who betray.
Ah, it is also a mission to kill a god, or something close to it anyway.

What changed now? When I set a goal of writing 1000 words per day during Lent.
I don't know. But I'm sure not minding that I'm swapping some characters whole identity as I write. Some times back again.

I must confess, I haven't had good fun in writing for so many years.
The more I learned about the craft, the more critical I've became of my own work. This led to disappointment and less and less time writing, and since "no writing = no development", I've never stopped being too critical.

Subtle micro-aggressions are just as bad as blatant racism, if not worse.
"Our confidence is in #God alone. Through the death and resurrection of #Christ our sins are forgiven. And we are promised a #Spirit of power to strengthen us".

@Remittancegirl Something to give up for #Lent
Oh, I forgot to take a picture and already washed my face, but I got my #ashes today. Happy #ashwednesday. I visited my alma mater today and attended mass at the interfaith center. For #Lent this year, I am going to commit to #volunteering, #demonstrating, #networking and #socializing more. The past few lents I've enjoyed making commitments rather than omissions.
The “#TargetFast” coincides w/ #Lent & is the latest #consumer action against one of the largest retail companies in the country. Since #Target announced that it would roll back some #DEI efforts, including plans to hire from underrepresented groups, consumer #boycotts & demonstrations have sprung up across the country. Many occurred during #Black History Month, & on Feb 28, consumers participated in a 24hr“economic blackout” of major corporate chains.
Zum #Aschermittwoch gibt’s bei mir immer Suppe. Heute eine Kürbissuppe mit Blumenschmuck (das Auge isst ja schliesslich mit ).
I've finally decided what I'm giving up for this year's #Lent... procrastinating about learning to code.
I have been wanting to learn it for a good while now, but kept putting it off, for whatever reason.
I'll start with #JavaScript, for #WebDevelopment, and see where I go from there.
Instead of giving up something for #Lent, I want to do the reverse. I was thinking that learning the core basics of an #OpenSource project would be a good starting point (to get me in the habit of doing this). Just a question of which one?!
Today is Bolludagur, or Bun Day, in #Iceland and I grabbed one if each of the 5 varieties for sale at my favorite shop. This is a great holiday and one of three in a row leading into #lent .

Another #boycott thought: in classical #Christian practice, Wednesdays and Fridays are days for #fasting. The fasting discipline of those days is extended for the 40 days of #Lent (excluding Sundays). So maybe, for Lent, we could observe a practice like today’s on every Wednesday and Friday for the season of Lent?
One thing to also consider is that #Easter is meant to be 50 days of feasting as a sort of counter-balance to Lent. So we’d need to figure out what that would look like.
I wrote this with Lent in mind, but as sunset is happening I realize it's topical for Ramadan as well. I wish all of you who celebrate these seasons a successful one that brings you closer to God.
If you’re participating in the #boycott today, awesome. A thing we could do to continue riding the wave is to maintain a similar energy as part of a spiritual discipline. #Lent starts next week. And Lent has a history of fostering economic impact (look up the historical reasons why fish is allowed for instance). So maybe use the 40 days of Lent as a means to consume less and as part of our economic #resistance…
"Christ has shown us what it means to worship and to serve you above anything or anyone else who pretends they can demand our ultimate loyalty"

2025 is a Year of Jubilee for Catholics, with special indulgences and a new call from #Pope Francis: fast from #socialmedia, alongside pilgrimages and charity. A religion scholar notes the pope sees the internet as a spiritual distraction:
