Februar 2025, fand eine selbstorganisierte Gedenkveranstaltung der Initiative 19. Februar Hanau im Congress Park Hanau statt. Umbruch Bildarchiv<p><strong>Remember Hanau</strong></p><p>Zum fünften Jahrestag des rassistischen Anschlags vom 19. Februar fand am Samstag, den 15. Februar 2025 in <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Hanau" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Hanau</span></a> eine <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Gedenkdemonstration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gedenkdemonstration</span></a> statt. Aufgerufen hatte das Hanauer Jugendbündnis, ein Zusammenschluss von verschiedenen Hanauer <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Jugendorganisationen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Jugendorganisationen</span></a>.

Laut Veranstalter*innen beteiligten sich rund 1500 Menschen an dem Demonstrationszug. Bei der Auftaktkundgebung am Marktplatz sprachen unter anderem Serpil <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Unvar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Unvar</span></a>, Mutter des getöteten Ferhat Unvar und Gründerin der <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Bildungsinitiative" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Bildungsinitiative</span></a> Ferhat Unvar, Vertreter*innen der aufrufenden Gruppen und des <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/DBG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DBG</span></a>. Die Demonstration zog lautstark durch die Hanauer Innenstadt und endete am Marktplatz.</p><p>Am benachbarten <a href="https://mastodon.trueten.de/tags/Heumarkt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Heumarkt</span></a>, einem der zwei Tatorte in Hanau, gab es eine Zwischenkundgung. Hanau – Die Konsequenz bleibt Widerstand
Mehr als 5.000 Menschen haben am 19. Februar 2025 in #Berlin mit einer Kundgebung und #Gedenkdemonstration an den rassistischen Anschlag in #Hanau vor fünf Jahren erinnert. Mit Portraits, Kerzen und Redebeiträgen gedachten sie Gökhan #Gültekin, Sedat #Gürbüz, Said Nesar #Hashemi, Mercedes #Kierpacz, Hamza #Kurtović, Vili Viorel #Păun, Fatih #Saraçoğlu, Kaloyan #Velkov und Ferhat #Unvar. Nach der Kundgebung am Abend in der High-Deck-Siedlung führte die #Demonstration in Richtung #Sonnenallee in N#eukölln. Auf dutzenden mit #Lichterketten beleuchteten Schildern, die Teilnehmer*innen hochhielten, waren die Namen von weiteren Opfern rassistischer Gewalt der letzten Jahre zu lesen.
Zu der Veranstaltung aufgerufen hatte die #Migrantifa Berlin. Ihre Antwort auf #Naziterror und zunehmende rassistische #Gewalt ist #Selbstorganisation. Die Konsequenz aus Hanau bleibt #Widerstand.
