I have #deGoogled my phone by (ironically) picking up a second-hand #pixel7 and immediately installing #grapheneOS.

Brings me right back to the days of building #gingerbread for my #htc #raider.

I love that there's no #google on this slab - but I have the option of adding google services in case I ever absolutely *need* to use a piece of software available only on play.

Being an #android oldschooler... I was some impressed with the web installer. My grandparents could have installed Graphene on their phones themselves. Fantastic.

Interfejs dalej jest ładny i może się podobać - HTC zadbało o kilka tematów przewodnich aplikacji, najbardziej znanym jest słynny zegar klapkowy, ale można było mieć więcej.

Najlepszym elementem po latach jest, o dziwo, dźwięk - te X lat temu uznawałem Beats Audio za zabawkę dla bogatych pozerów. Dziś faktycznie słyszę różnicę, nawet na średniej klasy słuchawkach. I choćby dlatego mały HTC zostanie ze mną jako odtwarzacz MP3, bo jakość dźwięku bije na głowę sprzęty za tysiące złotych. Dobrym i dziś coraz rzadszym dodatkiem jest zwykłe radio FM, nie wiem dlaczego prawie nieosiągalne we współczesnych smartfonach. OK, można go nie instalować jako domyślnej aplikacji, ale dajcie chociaż ludziom możliwość doinstalowania na wypadek zombi apokalipsy ;) jednak nie, radio jest po prostu coraz częściej niewspierane sprzętowo. Czuję, że nam się to kiedyś odbije czkawką.

Nie będę opisywał możliwości związanych z internetem i aplikacjami, bo te po 12 latach nie istnieją. Android 4 to trup od wielu lat, na 1 giga RAMu nic się nie uruchomi, a platforma jest zablokowana przez HTC i nie można jej zaktualizować. Dlatego jest to coś w rodzaju smartfonowej Nokii 3310, minus trwałość. Zostajesz z tym, co dał ci producent, plus cały bloat z martwych serwisów, nic nie usuniesz. Dzwonienie, SMSy, kalendarz, budzik, ładne UI, dobry dźwięk. Koniec.

Podsumowując - na dziś to fajny odtwarzacz MP3 z funkcją zadzwonienia do kogoś od czasu do czasu. Jeśli chcesz używać tego na co dzień, pewnie masz w sobie sporą dozę masochizmu. #htc #htcone #oldphone @Fan_Technologii
