I'm proud that I wrote the original non-MPI support into Darshan as a proof of concept over one Thanksgiving break. Shane rewrote it after me (my version was a bolt-on; it is now fully integrated into Darshan core), but the Darshan devs were bearish about adding non-MPI support before I went and did it. It may be the most durable contribution I've made to the #HPC community in my career.
