I could pick any GYBE song and there is little risk I'd grown tired of it, but I also have a clear favorite. World Police... is fairly conventional by GYBE standards, with it's long, pleasant and patient build up to the eventual crescendo.</p><p>Godspeed you! Miałem znajomego z którym spotykaliśmy się w Pasażu Wiecha na tyłach Empiku ( zanim wybudowali te wysokie białem latarnie i przywrócili nieco higieny kosztem fajnych ławek niestety ) w celu wymiany kaset i płyt z fascynującą nas muzyką alternatywną. Na jednej z nich trafił do mnie GY!BE. </p><p>Jak tylko usłyszałem ich album F♯ A♯ ∞ to zamarłem. W życiu nie słyszałem niczego takiego! To miał być rock ? Złamało to moje wyobrażenie na temat struktury utworu , na temat jego długości i przede wszystkim nazewnictwa :D Sama nazwa zespołu musiała być inspiracją dla późniejszych naśladowców aż stało się normą ,że mają być długie i abstrakcyjne jak najbardziej.</p><p>Co do muzyki to mamy tam nagrania terenowe, monologi , manipulacje dźwięku, powolne budowanie nastroju i ten kontrast pomiędzy drone – ambientową częścią ich utworu i chaotycznym pikowaniem w górę. Tak , mają tam crescendo… ale nie takie jak te późniejsze zespoły – klony. U nich wszystko jest z wyczuciem i smakiem – nie ma się wrażenia ,że ścigają się z kimkolwiek. Oni malują swój mocno indywidualny pejzaż muzyczny.
