Texted the 23 year old ( #GS1 ) to let him know about the holiday presents situation. Did not text #GS2 ( age 21 ) yet, because he never responds anyway.

Well, announced to #sonOne and #Daddy_A that there's no money available for their kids' Christmas gifts this year. #sonTwo already specifically requested no gifts this year.

Granddaughters #GS1 and #GS2 cleaned their room and got their electronics back. Now the seven year old is messaging me when she's supposed to be in bed.

A couple of months late, but #GS1's birthday present arrived today. I think I'm just going back to texting #Steam codes. It is hard to pick something he'll like.

Oh, #GS2 got a job at a nearby fast food place. A week or so later, #GS1 got hired at the same place. He reports that their grandmother wants to bring them to her small town to try to get hired at the local warehouse.

I’m just glad that they are both working. A lot of young adults are not employed.

#Note_To_Self: Next time #GD2 starts a videochat, tell her to wake up #GS1 so we can say hi.

My granddaughters #GD1 and #GD2 are off of their no electronics time out. I got messages from both of them today, after about ten days without. I am tempted to ask if #GS1 and #GS2 are also on NETO, but I know it is just late teens / early twenties relationship disease.

#lazyNephew reminded me that I have not yet purchased a #Steam code for #GS1. Time to take a walk.

Hmm. I missed a granddaughter's birthday. #GS1 recently turned 11, and even though I kept thinking about her birthday being on $DATE, it didn't click that it was coming until it was past.

I'll send her a book and an age-appropriate game for her #2DS. And then I'll call her.

Wonderful hourlong call with #sonOne. Today we discussed:
* Sega Genesis / Aladdin / modern clone consoles
* Nintendo Entertainment System / modern clone consoles
* YouTube channels and podcasts
* Building gaming PCs
* Family stuff ( #lazyNephew, #sonTwo, #GD1, #GS1, and the almost-member @mike )
* Job stuff
* Riding (bicycles and motorcycles)

Lots of pauses today, and the granddaughters were still asleep, so I did not get to say hi to them. I decided not to leave any #blue_pawprint s, so he won't know I'm replacing his #PS4 until it arrives Saturday.

@mike This one is going to #sonOne's house. #GD1 and #GD2 are also going to get to play with the Etch-A-Sketch. I'll have to let him know something is coming, because #GS1 will need to come out of the bedroom and be ready to bring the items inside.

#GS1 and #GS2 are still half-asleep, but they did tell me that they *love* their #2DS handhelds.

Discovered that I had been sending texts to #GS1's old number (the one I paid for five years), even though he's had a different number since #sonOne took over his phone late last year. I wondered why he wasn't responding. Now I know.

I sent #GS1 a Steam code as a belated 22nd birthday present. I did not send anything to #GS2 for his 20th because I don't have contact info and don't know whether his current living arrangements allow him access to electronics.
