This week's freelance question is: What mix of work types does your freelance business involve?

Very interested to hear what the breakdown is for fellow freelancers / small business owners (replies here are fine, I've disabled blog comments due to the Online Safety Act).

This week's freelance question is:
Would you buy an existing business?

I was offered a business for sale a while ago, and I occasionally see other opportunities. However, at the budget I'm looking at (£1000-5000), the minimum costs of due diligence make it too expensive (if I get everything checked) and too risky (if I don't).

Also the seller knows a lot more about what they're selling than I do.

Every Wednesday we have a meet up for freelancers in the digital industries. This week it's in the Lord Nelson pub in Brighton, from 8pm - 11pm.

Freelance developer, designer, sysadmin, copywriter, project manager in web/apps? Do come along! We're very friendly and you'll have a great chat, and maybe pick up some work.

Wow, thank you for all the followers and interest so far—such a welcoming community! 🙌

I’m diving deeper into computer networking, open-source, and automation. I’d love to connect with others in the space. If you’re a freelancer, contractor, or consultant, how did you start networking and finding opportunities?

I’m exploring ways to break into the industry and would really appreciate any insights, experiences, or even connections. 🚀

Feel free to reply or DM me, I’d love to talk and learn from you.
