Have you noticed, my internet friend, that Intel has enshittified themself to such a level that they are becoming useless?

I didn't buy a new machine after AMD started slacking off for more than 10 years {I think it's 12}

The most obvious reason was that Intel had the capability to create CPUs which had as much cores that are as efficient as AMD but they just wanted to kill everyone by always releasing a new chipset just so you could use another iteration of the CPU.

The moment AMD got their act together and started to make very good CPUs again Intel tried to play catch up, ketchup even

Now their founderies are out of date to obsolete and AMD which sends their work to Modern foundries has jumped over into and is almost literally p*ssing on them

I really hope that you do not have those Intel CPUs in your systems which just basically disintegrate while they are being used. They are of the latest generation

I signed up on #iNaturalist about 5 years ago and did a few postings/observations. Then, more recently I spoke with enough biologists who said they used the data and it was quite important and encouraged me to contribute to it, especially since I go to out-of-the-way places a lot (look at my observations map).

But, first, I took the time to read through their data/surveillance policy and, while I assumed bots would be *nonconsensually* scraping the data, contributing seemed useful enough to science that I could hold my nose and accept that. But direct, unmediated collaboration with Google and AI-anything is off the table for me.

Bummer, really.

Let's take a step back, earlier in the day, before I really got to practice my hobby (looking for lost tools). I had to remove this package that I had set on top of my bench. It was in the way of looking for stuff.

This package makes me happy. This company does not seem to be suffering from #enshittification Is that true, or is it just me? There are good companies out there still right?

In order to look for tools I must clear my bench. So I opened it up to remove the capacitors inside.
