The Crich Tramway Village, home to the National Tramway Museum, is a fascinating open-air museum near Matlock, Derbyshire, showcasing a collection of vintage trams from across the UK. It is located near Crich, Derbyshire, about 8 miles from Matlock.
It's a living tram museum where visitors can ride historic trams along a recreated period street and into the countryside.

John Wheeldon (also known as John Gaunt) was an Englishman who lived in #Derbyshire during the late 1800s and early 1900s, and worked as a #ratcatcher for the #Midland Railway company (these rodents could cause a lot of trouble on the railway network).
He hunted the #rodents alongside a multi species team of #dogs , #foxes and a #cat !
