Just found out the word "by" ('city', but keep reading) is associated with bigger settlements in #Norwegian than in #Danish - and then NRK just wrote a related article!

In Denmark, you just need 200 citizens for a "by" (legally). While a prototypical one is bigger, a small one is still a "by", but may just be a "landsby" ('town/village', the first part means 'country').

Norway has no automatic "by"-status, but it can be granted to places usually with 5000+ citizens 🏘️

#Danish Foreign Minister #Lars_Løkke_Rasmussen, in a video posted on #X, said #Denmark does not "appreciate the tone" of the #US Vice President #JD_Vance regarding #Greenland.

"Of course, we are open to criticism. But let me be completely honest - we do not appreciate the tone in which it's being delivered. This is not how you speak to your close allies," #Lars_Løkke said.

He added that #Denmark is ready to discuss with the #US the issue of greater military presence in #Greenland.

The first third of the book is a grammar, organized by word class. It's clearly an older version of #Danish: it uses "eder", not "jer" for 2nd person plural and verbs have a plural form. A lot of terminology also seems outdated or funky (pluperfect is the "long gone time"). He uses both "intransitive" and "untransitive" in seemingly inconsistent ways. The verb chapter mostly lists verb forms. Examples don't contain more women; the word "hun" (she) is left out when space is small
