Both cases of the #KneisnerM100 are fully closed and #TurboDOS system is running fine from HDD. Also I adjusted the monitor view sizes inside the the #TeleVideo VTI-912C terminal.
Finish and mission accomplished

One of the most repair-friendly computers of the 80s. Our #Sharp #MZ80K in the museum. But ultimately, it was also one of the dumbest computers ever launched.

I wrote a longer article containing the successful repairing story of our #KneiserM100. Beware, it's a litte *tltr*.
Here is an automatic google translation of it:

Today I have two colleagues visiting, and I'm going to take them on a tour of our #ComputerMuseum. I'd say that one of them has traveled the furthest of all the guests so far. I'm curious to see if they'll leave with their minds as full as most of the other guests.

What a beauty the #KneisnerM100 has become. My daily work would be called "case modding" nowadays ;) It literally appears in a completely different light now ;) Tomorrow I'll be working on the expansion box, so after a year and a half, I can tick off this exciting project.
If any of you are coming to the HNF in Paderborn in October: The current plan is to bring it to the RCT at 11th & 12th of October 2025.

This is the first exklusive preview to the new housing of the #KneisnerM100. A German relabeled #Imsai8080.
Last steps to do is to mount all components properly and some electrical wiring for fan aso.

Today we're expecting a small group of visitors at our museum. I've taken this opportunity to tidy things up a bit and fire up some machines. Here's a look at our Sinclair series in the exhibition.

Yesterday I configured two VMs inside #proxmox to run some museums specific software. Learned some new stuff in this great software, i.e. store the backups in a NFS share on a second machine.
First is #PartDB as inventory software for our whole stuff including the library like books and software. And second is #Omeka for additional information about the machines in our exhibition.
It looks like we'll have a long way to go to get our entire inventory in order.

Today, I visited the Heinz Nixdorf Museum in Paderborn and was amazed. What a huge place! Defo worth another visit for me.

And finally the #TexasInstruments #TI994A is remounted in it's case. And working well after half an hour burn in test only with the circuit boards.

#HewlettPackard #OmniBook #HP600C. What a nice cute little machine. Boots fine from HDD with Win3.11. The most funny thing is the inbound mouse, which flips right out of the case with a button.

Finished my work at the #TexasInstruments #TI994A and at the cutting software to produce a video of it. Sorry, only in German. But it is possible with options dialog to choose a specific undertitle language for automatic translation. And it's not 34€ for the bending tool, it's 3 to 4€

At our annual member meeting yesterday we all plan to make a bit more documentation about our daily work for the museum. Our youtube channel needs significantly more input for staying up to date with the progress. We will see how well this works in the new year. I for myself will start with the replacement of the video RAM of the #TexasInstruments #TI994A
#ComputerMuseum #RetroComputing
We're one step further, the #KneisnerM100 can now finally be programmed in a high-level language like #Pascal.
Say hello, m100 - see picture ;)
Not that we do it, but we can now. It was really tricky to put software to the hdd, but I found a tool called 22disk, which can write from and to #IMSTurboDOS.
#RetroComputing #ComputerMuseum
Today I started to repair our Texas Instruments #TI994A. It shows the wrong characters on startup. I'm unsure, maybe one of the ugly, soldered 4116 the video RAM. Main ROM rather unlikely, because it boots up fine to the start screen.
#RetroComputing #ComputerMuseum
I do several experiments to get a bit more HDD space for the #TurboDOS in the #KneisnerM100. My attempts some time ago were not so successful, but I had an idea last night.
#RetroComputing #ComputerMuseum
After fiddeling around to find a good terminal emulation program for simulating a #TeleVideo terminal I'm gone back to the roots. ZOC was an alternative, but it does not run under #Linux.
It's also a kind of #RetroComputing to control the #KneisnerM100 with an old DOS program Now the display positions are correct and no annoying ctrl sequences as with VT100 or ANSI.
