Great to see THE EXPERT OF SUBTLE REVISIONS included in the latest issue of the Haverford College magazine!
"Deemed 'an appealing intellectual mystery' by Publishers Weekly and featured in the Washington Posts's notable books for March, The Expert of Subtle Revisions plumbs the complexities of time and the narratives we construct for ourselves."

THE AMIGA TURNS 40
This month marks the 40th anniversary of the launch of the first ever Amiga – the Amiga 1000. Agnus, Paula, and Denise (the custom Amiga chips that together made up the OCS chipset, which gave the 1000 its graphical and audio prowess).
A new blog will be coming soon

My book Drystone – A Life Rebuilt is out in just three weeks.
I really believe in this book. It’s honest about important things, quietly subversive, funny, easy to read, and I’ve poured everything into writing it and getting it into the world as far as I can.
If you can, I’d love your help. A share, a preorder, a message to someone who might love it, it all makes a difference.

COG. A tooth. A queer cog; a rotten tooth. How the cull flashes his queer cogs; how the fool shews his rotten teeth.

From Gus Bova, in our magazine: The majority of U.S. states enacted forced-sterilization laws that targeted the non-white and the disabled, leading to more than 60,000 coerced operations. But #Texas, perhaps surprisingly, never passed such a law. https://www.texasobserver.org/texas-eugenics-book-review-history/

Just finished The Cemeteries of Amalo series (or at least what's available of it) and I really enjoyed it. Worth a read if you're into fantasy / mystery
What book should I read next?
This will be my first time speaking publicly about the book.
Come see me navigate a lot of nerves, speaking frankly on difficult subjects, and the appropriate amount of stone puns to make in an hour.
What is the best book I've read in 2025 so far?
That would be the one I just finished, Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart .
I can understand why it won the Booker Prize.
Robert Holdstock's most famous novel, "Mythago Wood" (1984), incorporates almost unchanged as its first third a 1981 novella of the same name. That novella contains all the best elements of the later novel.
You will be an even happier reader if you quit reading "Mythago Wood" after the first third, which forms a finished whole.
Saw a comment under a book review: "Yes but is it really a plot, or is it just three tropes in a trench coat?"
This feels extremely accurate to a lot of book recs that come across my feed lately...
As I am working my way (slowly) through the Harvard Classics, a thought occured to me. It is mostly philosphy and literature; which is fine, but is there a "science" version of Harvard Classics or some other science focused anthology?
Bonus question! If you could create your own science anthology, what would you include in it? Bonus points if it is in the public domain!
LAZY MAN'S LOAD. Lazy people frequently take up more than they can safely carry, to save the trouble of coming a second time.

#QuestionOfTheDay fictional adventure expansion draft!
for those unfamiliar with expansion drafts in sports, it's when a new team or teams are added to a league and they can take players from other teams, but teams can protect their best players from being drafted so usually you're taking from the lesser players on every team
My question is: who do you pick to form an adventuring party made of 5 fictional characters to do a quest of unknown challenges?
You can pick characters from any franchise but only side characters/terrible characters/weak characters. No cheating, I trust you to be objective about which characters would be valuable enough to be "protected". Don't try to find loopholes. Try to find value.
