@murchadhfinn A Jewish lady in her 70’s and another woman in her 50’s were arrested in Belfast yesterday, while putting a sticker on a Barclays hole-in-the-wall cash machine. The sticker was in support of those being murdered in Gaza hourly. She was taken to Musgrave Stn, processed for ‘criminal damage’ and later released. There was a protest outside the police station until her release. Appalling behaviour by #PSNI while so-called Christians daily shout homophobic, transphobic and mysogynistic abuse daily in the city centre and they are ignored. #BarclaysBank #PSNI #Belfast #GazaGenocide #WarCrimes #Starvation

For me, the best thing about the brilliant new Pride window in Belfast City Hall is this “Save Sodomy From Ulster” t-shirt.

It’s an inversion of Ian Paisley’s 1970s anti-gay campaign, Save Ulster From Sodomy, which opposed reforming the law in the North of Ireland to bring it into line with the UK’s decriminalisation from 1967 onwards. Paisley failed, and decades later the first UK civil partnership was registered in Belfast.

I’m sure the DUP are seething about it.
