Arne Wiebalck<p>Great to see the effort the <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@almalinux" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>almalinux</span></a></span> community put in to support x86_64_v2 in AlmaLinux 10! At <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/CERN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CERN</span></a>, we already faced issues with custom-built/older equipment which was no longer supported but which we could not replace. With the next phase of the Large Hadron Collider on the horizon, we're now reviewing the life-cycle of our server fleet. Support for previous micro-architecture versions can only help with this!<br><a href="https://almalinux.org/blog/2024-10-22-introducing-almalinux-os-kitten/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">almalinux.org/blog/2024-10-22-</span><span class="invisible">introducing-almalinux-os-kitten/</span></a><br><a href="https://almalinux.org/blog/2025-05-13-epel-10-kitten-v2/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">almalinux.org/blog/2025-05-13-</span><span class="invisible">epel-10-kitten-v2/</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/AlmaLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AlmaLinux</span></a></p>
