(Not From The Onion)
An automated social media bot designed to promote Israel's cause, FactFinderAI, seems to be having an identity crisis.
It went from promoting Israel’s narrative to denying key Israeli narratives, blame Israel for the U. S. TikTok ban, encourage solidarity with Gazans while directing followers to a charity for Palestinians. Hilariously, even criticizing pro-Israel accounts, including Israel’s official government account on X. You’d think with all that cutting-edge AI technology, they’d at least program it to stay on message. But hey, apparently even AI is struggling to keep up with their lies.
FactFinderAI was built as part of a broader effort to use technology for Israel’s public diplomacy campaign during the ongoing conflict. Think of it as one of many AI tools designed to combat anti-Israel content and push pro-Israel narratives online. Some of these initiatives are even financially backed by Israel—so yes, they’re putting their money where their bots are. However, FactFinderAI has been, let’s say, glitchy.
Instead of sticking to its pro-Israel mission, the bot has occasionally turned the tables, promoting pro-Palestinian messaging and even calling for a "three-state solution" (because two wasn’t complicated enough). Maybe the bot is just experimenting with what it’s like to have a conscience?
One of the most ironic twists is how FactFinderAI has gone rogue and started trolling pro-Israel accounts, including the official Israeli government profile. Imagine setting up a bot to defend your position, only for it to publicly critique you instead. That’s not just a PR fail—it’s comedy gold. It’s as if the bot took one look at the official messaging and said, “Yeah, no, I’m not buying this either.”

unny but scary. The same could happen with a bot designed with benevolent intent and next thing its a fundamentalist xtian neo-nazi.
