As it's #PrideMonth, it's important to note that we should also be grateful to #allies, such as myself. Without people like me, there would be no Pride at all. Think about all the straight people whose job it is to provide permits for parades.

Of course, celebrating the queer community is important, but if Pride is for everyone, then we should also celebrate hardworking #allies like me.

I once had a colleague who was #homosexual and I wasn't even frightened of him at all. That takes #courage.

We now have complete & total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers & other defensive equipment, & plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, & manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.

This statement is indicative of the #UnitedStates directly engaging in the #Israel #Iran #war. He has also NOT consulted US #allies—despite just being w/them—& is acting unilaterally.

Trump’s argument on Monday was even more remarkable given that he returned to the summit 3 years after #Russia escalated the aggression that got it ejected in the first place—launching an unprovoked #invasion of #Ukraine in 2022, w/similar goals of seizing its territory.

The scene on Monday illustrated how even more aligned #Trump has grown w/the Russian #autocrat since his first time in office, & how alienated Trump has become from #US #allies who have rallied around Ukraine.

When he attended the summit the last time it was in #Canada, in 2018, he called for #Russia to be readmitted….The suggestion angered & appalled #allies, setting of a rift before Trump left early, telling reporters on his way out: “They should let Russia come back in. Because we should have Russia at the negotiating table.”

They were announced during #Trump’s visit to a #US #Steel mill last week, & appear to be aimed at currying favor w/ #steelworkers & the steel industry, including those in swing states like #Pennsylvania, where #USSteel is based.
The higher #tariffs have already rankled close #allies that sell #metal to the #US, including #Canada & #Europe. They also sent alarms to #automakers, #plane #manufacturers, #HomeBuilders, #oil drillers & others that rely on buying metals.
