I designed this comb guide for my Philips One Blade. The original ones break easily and are expensive. I also made the #Solvespace source file available e.g for them who want change the height of the comb.

FreeCAD 1.0 is out, and the binaries for various platforms are now available for download too (yesterday they released the source, but today binaries are available too). After 22 years of development, it's now a very robust app that competes head to head with heavyweights in the CAD space.
Today, I gave a #workshop for beginners in #3dcad using #FreeCAD. As usual, I forgot to take pictures. Too bad that I'm the one who's telling everybody to take pictures during their workshops... 
The age of the participants ranged from 12 years old and serious retiree. Great mix and a lot of fun. Thank you!

Recently I uploaded all 3D CAD challenges that I did in #Solvespace.
For most of my CAD I use OpenSCAD, a coding-language–based modeling environment that appeals to my programmer/mathematician brain. But when it gets tedious figuring out how to express visual shapes in code, I turn to SolveSpace instead.

I wrote a blog post about the spiral vase generator that I created in #openscad
Ship hull create in OpenSCAD using a bezier surface patch. The red dots are the 16 control points of the surface enabling the user to change the design relatively easy. Rendering is very fast due to the use of polyhedron.
I finally installed FreeCAD on my daily driver which currently has an old Intel Celeron G1610 as processor and 4Gb of ram. Surprisingly it runs pretty fluid.
Spiral shape with variable diameter in height. Created in OpenSCAD using a sinusoid function and the polyhedron command. This mimics the loft function in FreeCAD.
Using polybeziers in OpenSCAD to create this heart shape earring for my wife. I will print it later on my Biqu B1 (I still haven't fixed my beloved Hephestos 
).
Playing around with sinusoids in OpenSCAD to create a vase. To find the best parameters to have a printable vase that looks visually appealing is entertaining.
Some experimentation with Solvespace to create a curved object with fillets while in NURBS 'mode'.
