Remember when I told you about my #whatsapp vs #signal dilemma? Apparently it's very difficult to persuade current WhatsApp users to switch to Signal. I mean, how hard can it be to install a new app and give it a try? You know what I think? I think people are just lazy. They use whichever app is most popular at the moment. They don't even bother to check whether a given app respects their privacy or not. So yeah, I'm disappointed. Humans, you can do better! #rant
@michal On the other hand there are some people (like me) who simply don't like having many accounts and apps for them. I hate the fact that I have to have so many. I can't ask my boss to install Signal just because I have it - I've been asked to install WhatsApp for work so I don't have a choice. But I had some friends that persuaded me to use Viber and Telegram on top of the ones I'd already had. And this was actually too much for my phone. So... People have different reasons for now wanting new ones :) Laziness can be one of them, sure. But there are more probable reasons. At least from my point of view.
