Why we still can't have things like these?
@didek@101010.pl Yes, please! Ever since flattr died, I wanted something like that and I actually think Taler could do this (and much more)!
@didek I wish we could have something like this :/
But it relying on centralized exchanges means we have to somehow convince or force financial institutions to adopt it, and I know for a fact banks would cry about it like little babies in front of politicians
@didek As an aside, payment systems are mostly why I'm so against requiring payment to use/see something. Digital payments are inaccessible, you have to use whatever your bank tells you to. Similarly the service can force you to use a certain payment provider.
If you're in a country that is disliked by banks and payment gateways you're locked out.
@didek i'd be scared for my privacy with this solution... A public, uneresable record of articles I bought? No thank you
With software demo of what I have shown (GNU Taler), website get a blind signature of a payment approval, so no record of who have paid outside your device.
I would love to see a view on this from Mr. Michał from ICD as someone who can understand more details in cryptography.
@didek hm, so that signature is not tied to any identity? Either way, seems interesting to take a look
